3 day trekking and camping Cotopaxi National Park.

A beautiful trekking in the Cotopaxi National Park, ending on the refuge on the North Side. Due to the altitude and weather conditions this can be a hard trekking, so be sure to be prepared and bring good rain protection, hiking boots, thermo clothing and hats/scarfs etc to protect yourself from the cold weather.

Day 1: We leave Latacunga/Quito around 08.00am in the morning and drive to the main entrance of the Cotopaxi Park. We find our camping spot at Los Pinos and start with our hike towards the top of Ruminahui. Today we will hike for around 4 to 5 hours.

Day 2: After breakfast we hike towards Laguna Santa Domingo, crossing the paramo. Again a day where you will be alone with nature and not meet many other tourists. We walk for about 6 hours, have lunch on the way and our tents will be waiting at the end of our hike.

Day 3: Our last day of this three day trekking. Today we start by car to the base of Cotopaxi and walk up to the refuge at 4800m.  If you still feel good at the hut we can hike up to the glaciers.  In the afternoon we drive back to Latacunga or if you prefer you can continue with climbing Cotopaxi.

Price: $400,00 per person with a minimum of 2 people.
Included: transport, English speaking guide, all meals from lunch on day 1 to lunch on day 3, transport for all camping and kitchen equipement, all camping equipment like tents, sleeping bags, mattresses.
Not included: entrance fee Cotopaxi National Park ($2,00), drinks and tips.
