Climb to Mountain Pasochoa

 

Pasochoa volcano (4200 meters high) is an extinct caldera, located southeast of Quito, which today is a sanctuary of wildlife. It is part of the National System of Protected Areas within the category of Wildlife Refuge with an extension of 500 hectares

We departure from Quito 7:00 in the morning, we drive to the east for 11/2 hours to the hacienda in the base of the mountain after to pay in the hacienda entrance we continue to 3700 meter above sea level to the point we start to take a hike.

In this place we prepare our equipment, water and food and then start to hike for 3 or 4 hours to the summit 4200 meters above sea level, we take a break for eat and after we start to descend for 2 hours to the start point, in this hike we spend 5 or 6 hours in the mountain and then we start to driving to Quito.
